Hometown Transportation, LLC is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) business that provides safe and reliable door-to-door transportation to people across Western Ohio. We specialize in transporting seniors with limited mobility, but we serve clients of all ages. We are able to assist those requiring a wheelchair, those who are ambulatory (can walk) and those requiring a stretcher.
Why Choose Hometown Transportation?
When you book a ride with Hometown Transportation, you will receive exceptional, quality care and individual attention. Our courteous staff will arrive at your door on time and assist you to our climate controlled wheelchair accessible vans/ambulance. Your safety and comfort is our top priority.
Hometown Transportation is owned and operated by a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA). They are medical professionals who have specialized training in mobility. They possess the skills necessary to safely assist you from your door, throughout the trip, and to your destination. They give clients their undivided attention and provide additional assistance at their destination if scheduled. Drivers are CPR/First Aid certified, have driving training and practice client confidentiality standards.
Our vehicles are clean and have the latest safety features. They must pass a daily safety check and follow a periodic maintenance schedule. Our vans use the "Q'STRAINT QRT Deluxe" retractable wheelchair securement system. The retractors automatically take up slack to ensure that the wheelchair is safely secured and does not move during transit.
Our ambulance is equipped with a Stryker Power-Pro XT stretcher which can be adjusted to various positions to increase patient comfort.
You will ride safely and comfortably with Hometown Transportation. Our rear-entry wheelchair accessible vans and our BLS ambulance are clean, non smoking and climate controlled. The vans are equipped with 30-34 inch wide ramps which makes entering and exiting the vehicle easier. One family member or caregiver may ride along at no additional cost.
